I started my trade in Melbourne with an apprenticeship in solid timber furniture, before moving to the Gold Coast in 1997. From there I moved into high-end kitchens, then shopfitting — spending many years on the tools before working my way up to factory foreman and site supervisor roles across a number of companies.

In 2014 I stepped into drafting full-time, and Phoenix Shop Drafting was built on that combination: real trade experience backing up the drawings I produce. I've drawn in AlphaCAM, Pytha, Enroute, AutoCAD and TopSolid Wood — and predominantly use TopSolid Wood now. I understand how CNC machines operate from years on the tools, and I also program timber profiles for CNC machining — including curved walls, curved ceilings, and timber screen work.

Outside of drafting, you'll usually find me chasing a round of golf, spending time near the water, or sharing a meal with family and friends.
